3. RESEARCH

 

Author of 4 patents, 2 books and over 250 publications, 204 of which on international refereed journals, and over 200 scientific oral contributions at international conferences, meetings and schools.

 

Her papers have been cited over 3000 times and her h-index is 32 (ISI & Scopus).

 

Her research activity is now mainly directed towards the following topics:

 

  • Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials for energy, environmental and biomedical applications. The research activity is now mainly focused on the study of nanostructured materials for fuel cells (polymeric, PEMFC, solid oxide, SOFC, and microbial, MFC), chemical sensors (semiconductor and electrochemical), composite materials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, model compounds for biological systems.
  • Multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and its application to kinetic and structural studies. Investigation of the electronic and molecular structure of paramagnetic derivatives by means of NMR spectroscopy.
