  • Obiettivi: 1. Educational objectives: The course offers the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of the main economic and social issues of the modern and contemporary age, in particular the economic and business history of city tourism 2. Expected learning outcomes Consistent with the educational objectives of the BA, this course aims to provide the student with the following knowledge and skills: Knowledge and understanding: basic theoretical and methodological knowledges concerning the economic history of modern and contemporary age; ability to understand the texts, materials and quantitative data presented in class, as well as the basic concepts of historical and economic methodologies. Applying knowledge and understanding: ability to address specific issues related to economic history, according to its interdisciplinary approach; ability to search for multimedia data and bibliography Making judgment: ability to judge autonomously because of the critical aptitude of the historical disciplines; the development of judicial autonomy will be encouraged, and at the same time verified, by debate with the teacher and the other students on specific topics that will be the object of in-depth study. Communication skills: Communication skills will be acquired by the student at different levels, allowing them to demonstrate argumentative skills, which will be learned and exercised within the classroom exposures. The student will also acquire the basics of the specific lexicon of the economy. The verification of the required communication skills will be within the final oral examination. Learning skills: at the end of the course the student will have, in terms of general knowledge, the tools to contextualize and deepen themes and problems of historical-economic background. This ability is developed through an active involvement of the student in the training activities of the course with the integration of the personal study on textbooks. The verification of acquisition of learning ability will be within the final examination.
