  • Obiettivi: The course aim to provide tools to design control systems for linear and nonlinear process evaluating the robustness and reliability of the design. The students will be able to realize a digital control system and the effectiveness of their design will be tested by instrumentation available in the robotic labs. In particular the program provides: Frequency based design techniques, analysis of robustness, performances, tools to deal with delay, static nonlinearity, matlab and simulink programming, Arduino software. As an intermediate exam, the students will be asked to present to the class a (simulation) project where all the theory acquired in the course is exploited to stabilize a process and achieve the best possible performance. This in order to provides the students an experience to improve communication skills. Another part of the exam is related to the participation to a robotic challenge within a team in oder to improve social and collaborative skills as required by companies and industries.
