  • Obiettivi: Detailed knowledge of the physical mechnisms and of the conservation equations of stellar interiors. Knowledge of the input physics (opacita, equativo of state, cross section, nuclear reaction rates) used to compute stellar models. Basic knowledge of star formation. Detailed knowledge of the Hayashi track, central hydrogen burning and main sequence. Detailed knowledge of the central helium burning phases, horizontal branch and blue loops. Detailed knowledge of the physical mechanisms driving stellar oscillations. Advanced evolutionary phases and cooling sequence of white dwarfs. Knowledge of the evolutionary and kinematic properties of Galactic stellar systems (open clusters, globular clusters). Evolutionary properties of simple and complex stellar populations and of the stellar parameters (absolute and relative ages, helium abundance, initial mass function, distance scale) with cosmological implications.
