  • Prerequisiti: Basic competences in problem analysis and logic reasoning. Basic knowledge of first order logic (logical operators, predicates). No specific computer science competence is required as a prerequisite.
  • Obiettivi: To get basic competence in the following topics: algorithmic problem solving, representation of information, programming languages, use of a programming environment. Referring to the guidelines reported in the report: "ACM/IEEE-CS - Computer Science Curricula 2013" (www.acm.org/education/CS2013-final-report.pdf), the course contributes to covering the following knowledge areas and corresponding learning outcomes: - AL (Algorithms and complexity): Basic analysis; Fundamental Data Structures and Algorithms; - GV (Graphics and Visualization): Fundamental Concepts; - PL (Programming Languages): Object-Oriented Programming; Functional Programming; Basic Type Systems; Program Representation; Language Translation and Execution; - SDF (Software Development Fundamentals): Algorithms and Design; Fundamental Programming Concepts; Fundamental Data Structures; Development Methods.
